Introduction
At GraphWear, we are on a mission to provide continuous medical diagnostics to every human. Without any needles or a doctor’s appointment. Headquartered in San Francisco, GraphWear is first addressing the global diabetic pandemic. We are eliminating painful and expensive blood glucose monitors with a continuous needle free glucose monitoring system.

Description
We are looking for a scientist or engineer who wants to develop new areas of research and continue the development of GraphWear needle free glucose monitoring system. For this role, you must have a strong theoretical understanding of carbon based nanomaterials, electrochemical biosensors, device fabrication, and a desire to work in a dynamic atmosphere. In this position, you will be a key contributor to the sensor development and characterization efforts at GraphWear.

Minimum education / experience required:
- MS in chemistry, synthetic chemistry, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, materials science and engineering, biomedical engineering, bioengineering, chemical engineering, or equivalent field with 1-2 years of industry/lab experience
- BS in chemistry, synthetic chemistry, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, bioengineering, chemical engineering, or equivalent field with 3-4 years of industry/lab experience

The candidate must demonstrate:
- Strong working knowledge of electrochemical and material characterization instruments/techniques (CV, EIS, chronoamperometry)
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of carbon based nanomaterials (graphene, CNTs, graphene oxide, and etc.)
- Knowledge of data acquisition and analysis tools (Matlab, r, Minitab, and python) and methods
- Experience working with 3D imaging and optical microscopy instruments (Keyence)
- Understanding of surface science/engineering principles

Preferable skills:
- Experience with polymer processing and coating techniques
- Experience fabricating biosensors and doing process development work

Other job requirements
- Ability to contribute to the day-to-day experimental planning, data analysis, and process development efforts
- Ability to think using first principles and a can-do attitude that will allow individual growth while at GraphWear
- Excellent attention to detail, record-keeping skills, and a can-do attitude
- A desire to innovate, and a data driven mindset that infers from results
- Applicant must be authorized to work in the United States
