H&M is also a founding member of the ET&D Partnership, a collaborative industry partnership working to reduce fatalities, injuries, and illnesses in the construction industry is currently recruiting for a Proposal Manager, in our West Region Headquarters location in Pomona, CA. Summary: The Proposal Manager leads and supports the design, planning, and execution of proposals and Statements of Work for potential projects within anassigned Region or Division, and fully understands the major business components and implications specific to H&M's pricing and proposal strategies. This position assists in ensuring compliance with the Henkels & McCoy established Project Management Methodology and upholds H&M safety and quality management protocols.
Responsibilities:
The Proposal Manager supports the Project and Business Development teams by executing bid, pricing, and proposal strategies while assessing internal pricing strategies and performance against service delivery goals. This position defines and implements RFP requirements and manages the proposal life cycle process (RFP to Proposal to Award to Project Handoff) and associated deliverables to ensure internal and customer proposal requirements are completed on time. The Proposal Manager may also be responsible for leading the interface with various internal and external stakeholders on bid proposal and project planning teams, communicating and presenting effectively and with influence to the client group and team members. They will provide technical guidance to less experienced personnel and will act as a manager of the process.
Qualifications:
- Experienced in Project management, particularly in generating estimates and/or bid proposals
- Introductory knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and general profit/loss terms
- Proven excellence in technical writing and organization
- Completion of H&M PMM training and some formal Project Management coursework
- Solid computer skills and proficiency in MS Office applications
- Moderately complex problem-solving skills
Minimum Educational Background: BS/BA Degree preferred and/or related field or equivalent work experience
