Summary

This position is responsible for development, oversight, coordination, and strategic management of our efforts to end homelessness through Bridge Housing. This Manager provides expertise and coaching to ensure the delivery of services to meet and exceed program and organizational goals. Our model is a Housing First approach centered in Harm Reduction to meet each client’s needs to end their homelessness.


The Program Manager of Bridge Housing will be tasked with building the program and securing key community partnerships to facilitate the programmatic setup and day to day operations of bridge housing sites across Maricopa County for the Human Services Campus’ Inc.


What You Will Do To End Homelessness

  • Identify, Negotiate, and Secure properties seeking to work with the Human Services Campus, inc. to create bridge housing units across Maricopa County.
  • Manager will be responsible for day-to-day operations of a current Bridge Housing program operating at the Valley Inn, and future hotel properties (two to four properties).
  • Establish delivery of services necessary to support clients in Bridge Housing units.
  • Identifying and convening partners surrounding identified bridge properties to use collective resources to end homelessness for clients in HSC Bridge Programs.
  • Coordinate and Facilitate Case Conferencing as needed.
  • Coach and build staff capacity to work with service providers and clients to increase positive and timely outcomes from bridge housing into permanent housing.
  • Work with Director of Programs in development of program goals and objectives.
  • Monitor the bridge housing property progress toward achieving program goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the facilitation of weekly and monthly progress reports related to housing outcomes.
  • Work in partnership with the Director, Grants on the reporting process and management of compliance agreements of multiple grant contracts.
  • Work with Finance to meet monitoring and audit requirements to maintain funding and compliance.
  • Represent the Human Services Campus at appropriate meetings with community and partners.
  • Monitor and analyze data, trends, regulatory and technological changes, and best practices to evaluate system performance and provide recommendations for system improvements and innovation in programming that will result in ending homelessness for our clients.
  • Maintain knowledge of Bridge Housing programs, efforts, and best practices nationally and locally for individuals experiencing homelessness.
  • Utilize HMIS database to communicate messages and coordinate client care.
  • Other duties as requested.

You're An Ideal Fit If You Meet The Following

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in social services.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a managerial role, or roles with increasing levels of responsibility and authority.
  • Creative and systems thinker/adaptive/problem solving personality .
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human and/or Social Service field or equivalent work experience.
  • Non-Profit Property Management Experience.
  • Understanding of, and commitment to, the Housing First philosophy.
  • Manager should have at least 2 years of experience working with HMIS and have experience working in community collaboration to solve complex problems.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with clients and staff from diverse backgrounds, including those who are experiencing mental health, substance use, traumatic, and medical barriers; and must model effective engagement strategies.
  • Manager will possess the capacity to understand and navigate complex systems, as well as understand root causality as it pertains to systems of oppression and those systemic contributions to creating homelessness.
  • The ideal manager will be one with a proven track record of outcomes leading to impact. Must be able to professionally communicate with clients, those with lived experience, community members, and funders.
  • Able to be organized in a fast-paced environment; able to show a history of solving complex problems, and coaching staff to think critically and innovatively.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills (Spanish a plus).
  • Visual acuity sufficient to maintain system of records and reports containing computer- generated and handwritten documents.
  • Ability to handle sensitive material, maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and displaying sound judgement.
  • Mobility sufficient to conduct regular duties within a normal office environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds in order to safely manage office supplies and equipment.
