Licensed Practical Nurse 4

Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) State-Operated Community Residential Programs (SOCR) has an opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as an LPN.

In this role, you will participate in providing excellent nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will enjoy interacting with our clients as you team up to help them live a meaningful life in the community and work towards greater levels of independence. As an LPN, your focus will be on supporting and providing guidance and direction to our SOLA team.

Some of what you will do

  • Provide guidance to the SOLA team while performing direct nursing care according to a treatment plan
  • Report and document significant changes in patient conditions to the SOLA management team and appropriate medical providers
  • May administer medications and treatments
  • Educate clients and staff in the management of specific health conditions
  • Accompany staff and clients on medical appointments and other community outings
  • Complete paperwork and documents for medication orders; inventory and maintain medical supplies and equipment
  • Collaborate with contracted RN delegator to ensure client safety and medical needs are met
  • Participate in transition meetings for clients moving into the SOLA program
Who should apply?
Professionals who possess a valid LPN license to practice within the state of Washington and two years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

  • Ability to provide accurate and clear communication in a calm, non-threatening manner
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Desire to coach and educate others
  • Exceptional assessment and clinical knowledge
