POSITION TITLE: Athletics Special Program Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Athletics

REPORTS TO: Director of Athletics

FLSA: Exempt

TERM: 12 Months

POSITION SUMMARY: Charlotte Country Day School, an independent coeducational day school located in Charlotte, NC, is currently recruiting for an Athletics Special Program Coordinator for the 2023 -2024 school year. This is a full-time, 12-month position beginning July 5, 2023. The daily work schedule will vary according to athletics program needs, but will be focused on afternoon, evening, and some weekend events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Athletics Special Programs Coordinator will be responsible for scheduling all athletics transportation (Activity or Charter), scheduling all game day staff for events, assist with leading the Robert C. Witman Leadership Academy, and the development and implementation of youth sports offerings for grades 6 and below.

  Development of curriculum for the Robert C. Witman Leadership Academy.

• 
  Lead the selection of participants for the Robert C. Witman Leadership Academy.
• Lead the exploration and development of a youth sports program for grades 6 and below.
• Schedule game day transportation for all middle school, junior varsity, and varsity teams.
• Schedule event staff for all middle school, junior varsity, and varsity teams.
• Serve as a Program Head of an Athletic Program. (To be determined)
• Serve as a game day administration for athletic contest.

Other:

• Other tasks as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• Minimum of 3-5 years working in youth or interscholastic athletics.
• Exceptional Communication
• Demonstrate technological proficiency (PC/Windows, Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite)
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
