Looking for candidates to perform yacht detailing. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: preparing the boat for cleaning (removing covers, furniture, cushions and accessories from the boat prior to cleaning), cleaning the boat with freshwater and soap, drying and polishing the boat, vacuuming and cleaning bilges and lockers, cleaning interior of the boat (dusting, wiping down surfaces, vacuuming, etc), replacing items taken off of boat prior to cleaning.

Required:

• Reliable transportation to, but not limited to: Newport RI, Jamestown RI, Portsmouth RI, Barrington RI and on occasion Chatham MA.
• Ability to maneuver and work in marine environments. I.E. The awareness required to safely maneuver on docks, yards, and vessels. To operate in these in environments we require all candidates to have awareness and ability to provide attention to their environment at all times.
• The work is entirely based outdoors at various marinas and private docks. This work is conducted rain or shine. If you have proclivities to not working outside in the elements do not consider this position.
• This is a laborious position and should be considered as hard work, please be advised.
• We do not require prior experience in the field, but experience in marine environments and on boats is highly valued.
• We have a zero tolerance drug policy. To comply with Coast Guard and insurance regulations, we do not tolerate drug use (including marijuana) on or off of the work site. For instance if an accident were to occur you may be held liable to complete a drug test, and if you are to fail, your employment will be terminated.

Further Information:

The hourly wage begins at $17 an hour. After 30 days your pay will be increased to $18, only if there are no issues pertaining to your work. I.E. (Arriving to work on time, not calling off without a valid excuse, etc). After another 30 days the pay will be increased again to $20 an hour where it will remain until an earned wage increase.

One of the various services we provide our clients is routine, detailed cleaning and maintenance of their vessel. This means every square foot of their vessel is to be accounted for at all times. We pride ourselves on providing the best service possible and have earned a reputation for such. Our team is close knit and we cherish each of our members and are excited to bring on some more for our summer season in Newport. We are always looking to bring team members on full time to bring with us to Florida during the winter. As have with a select number of our staff prior, we offer a route to receive their captain licensing and offer related work afterwards. Although our line of work is demanding, we take great pride in what we do and are always looking to improve by bringing on bright, terrific people onto our team.
