Warehouse Supervisor - $70k-$80k

A well established food manufacturer in Milford, IA is looking to have a Warehouse Supervisor join their team. As the Warehouse Supervisor you will oversee all warehouse duties along with supervising a team of material handlers who maintain warehouse stock that is received, inventoried and distributed as instructed.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safety for all employees under their supervision by conducting safety orientation and training of employees, enforce safe work practices, correct unsafe conditions, prevent lingering unsafe or unhealthful workplace conditions or hazards.
  • Manage department activities and special projects to ensure efficiency and quality while exceeding daily order response and program goals.
  • Manage departmental budget in the areas of labor (hours and cost), packaging maintenance and other associated costs.
  • Assist in the staff scheduling to include: work assignments/rotations, employee training, employee time off, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees and shift rotations.
  • Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures. Provide discipline and corrective action as required. Document all disciplinary actions.
  • Establish departmental and employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews.
  • Communicate to all levels of organization using KPI’s on topics of daily goals, performance feedback, departmental, organization and company initiatives, etc.
  • Complete time sheets, input schedules, and other paper work as required in specific department.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Knowledge in MS Office products (Excel & Word).
  • SAP is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to calculate figures and amounts along with performing basic math functions.

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
  • Minimum of two to five years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Forklift and pallet jack certification preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license to operate yard truck.
