Summary/Objective
The Title Specialist is responsible for perfecting automotive titles in a timely manner in the correct lending partner name. The Title Specialist will work collaboratively with other Location Services production teams to ensure that title processing is done accurately, efficiently, and completed within established guidelines. We are looking for someone who has strong communication skills, enjoys a goal driven & fast-paced environment, is enthusiastic to multitask and perform multiple departmental functions, and is poised and professional at all times. This is an in-office position with the potential to become a hybrid role, after training.

Qualifications and Required Skills
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment with high attention to detail
  • Fast learner that can comprehend, retain, and implement required policies and procedures

  • Strong critical thinking skills that will be used to generate resolutions for escalated accounts

  • Ability to de-escalate situations when a customer is upset
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience working with automobile loan and/or titles processing preferred but not required
  • Experience with quality assurance preferred but not required
  • Previous experience working with automobile loan and/or titles processing, preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of banking, financial services, dealership or real estate processing preferred but not required
  • Ability to work overtime hours and Saturdays, as needed

Essential Functions
  • Accurate and efficient perfection of automotive titles for lending partners
  • Verify and audit loan and title documents for accuracy
  • Provide consistent and timely feedback to management
  • Effective management of the Title Check Queue
  • Provide outstanding customer service and meet service level agreements
  • Handle customer outbound and inbound calls, including responding to voicemails, emails and text messages to obtain missing documentation; ability to de-escalate situations when necessary
  • Responsible for learning and knowing state specific title laws & requirements for perfecting liens
  • Ability to handle information professionally and confidentially
  • Help with updating internal processes to align with state titling and form/requirement changes
  • Document the system of record per applicable policy/procedure
  • Monitor accounts for “red flags” or potential fraud
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
  • Associates Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, in business related field a plus
  • Customer Service experience
  • Titles experience

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are variable and based on business need. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.


Physical Requirements

This position is indoors. Must be able to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period. May be asked to lift approximately 25 lbs. Exposure to moderate noise and light, i.e. business office with computers, phone, printers, light foot traffic.
