Wherry Truck Lines, Inc. (WTL) is a company that was established in 1992. In its beginnings WTL specialized in walking floor bulk transport and flatbed services. Initially, the bulk transport division catered primarily to the waste and mulch industries and the flat bed division catered to the horticultural and landscape industry. Since then, services have been expanded to include land clearing, logging and composting. At Wherry Truck Lines we are dedicated to serviceability with the highest regards to creating and maintaining strong customer relationships. We offer dependable, prompt and reliable service with our professional staff and equipment. Our customers can count on a general response time of 24 hours from the time a job is called in.

Looking for applicants that are already planning to move to the Fort Myers, FL area. The Company will not pay for relocation.

Tire Technician

  • Maintains, changes and repairs tires for commercial semi-tractor trailers and heavy equipment.
  • Responds to service calls on the road and in the shop yard.
  • Operates Company pickup truck for service repair.
  • Performs routine inspections and maintenance on vehicle and equipment, reports damages and repairs.
  • Promptly reports accidents, injuries, or mechanical failures to appropriate personnel.

***Highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic willing to work long hours, up to 6 days a week.

Tire Technician –Desired Skill:

  • Ability to listen and follow directions.
  • Works in all types of weather conditions, exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes and/or heavy dust.
  • Willingness to improve skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work long hours.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent work ethic.
  • Follow safety regulations.

Tire Technician–Requirements:

  • Must have a safety-first attitude. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures is required.
  • Display a professional and courteous attitude toward co-workers, supervisors, and the public at all times.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.
  • Ability to climb up and down a ladder.
  • Ability to work at heights of 15 feet.
