RRD is looking for an energetic, and highly motivated team member to join our team of Technical Specialists at our Elk Grove Village facility!

Assists Supervisors-Manufacturing, in the day-to-day operations. Meets quality and productivity levels by training and motivating employees to meet customer requirements and deadlines.

  • Act as a leader in providing and promoting a safe and injury-free work environment.
  • Assists Supervisors- Manufacturing, in planning, organizing, staffing, directing, supervising and controlling the daily manufacturing areas.
  • Improve productivity through involvement and accountability.
  • Analyzes and resolves work-related problems and assists employees in solving problems.
  • Identify and implement production efficiencies and quality control standards.
  • Coordinates production activities with other functions/departments as well as with customers.
  • Monitors production and provides guidance in troubleshooting any problem areas.
  • Coaches employees to develop leadership and teamwork skills.

Shift: 7pm - 7am / 3 days on 4 days off, rotating every 8 weeks

Hourly Rate Disclosure Statement:

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $30.00 to $42.00 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include [a sign-on bonus of N/A], overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay. Required Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and direct others.
  • Be a self-starter with proven ability to work in a fast-paced team setting.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in all aspects of web offset printing, variable inline inkjet applications, inline finishing applications and postal requirements for mailings.
  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively with various levels of the organization and customers.
  • Proven ability to define problems, collect data and facts and draw valid conclusions to determine and implement solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated willingness to hold self and others accountable for individual and team behavior and results.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in various Microsoft Office applications.

Required Experience


Experience/Knowledge:

  • Requires 6 months up to 1 year of web press-printing experience (preferred).
  • Ability to read and follow job specifications to determine materials needed to run the job successfully.
  • Ability to make adjustments to auto splicer.
  • Experience loading paper and preparing slice for continuous operation of the press (preferred).
  • Knowledge of materials and requirements for press.
  • High School Diploma or GED
