Purpose

• Use 3D design software to create designs and technical drawings for mechanical devices and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Uses computer-assisted design/drafting (SolidWorks) equipment and software to develop designs for new and existing products.
• To complete drawings, utilize knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences.
• Drafts detailed multi-view drawings of machines and products
• Responsible for implementing design changes based on ECR/ECO. The technical details of the ECR/ECO request must be documented and communicated to those affected.
• The candidate must be able to follow the organizational practices defined by the company.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 5+ years of SolidWorks experience.
• Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing is preferred
• Must have a strong understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology.
• Must be able to collaborate with engineers and others to generate new ideas and provide solutions to existing issues related to engineering.
• Must have proficient math skills in algebra and geometry.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
