Position Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal business owners to understand business strategy and vision and then writes, refines, prioritizes and accepts stories to support effective and compliant solutions that creates business value.
• Own and maintain a prioritized work backlog. Product backlog includes complete user stories with acceptance criteria so that they are consumable and testable.
• Serve as direct representative of the business with one or more products or services, representing the business perspective throughout the product delivery cycle.
• Participate within a cross-functional team of Engineers, Business Product owners, vendor partners and others to develop, execute and release in alignment with product road maps
• Partner with stakeholders and development team to facilitate the translation of business requirements from relevant business processes, gaining a developing understanding of the needs, measures, and risks & controls for the improvement area.
• Determine the scope of the project and establish the requirements and standards of the project are meet
• Develop and evangelize the product vision to the development team(s) as well as to key stakeholders in the organization
• Develop, plan, maintain, and prioritize the product feature backlog based on predefined criteria (risk and compliance)
• Prepare and participate in project planning; updating team backlog and typically reviews and contributes to roadmap, and sprint demos
• Plan upcoming development sprints in coordination with the development team
• Develop use cases to drive understanding with the development teams to ensure value is being added with each sprint
• Collaborate closely with Business product owners to write requirements in epics and user stories that ensures all business rules are covered in the acceptance criteria at the right technical level so it is digestible by the agile Software and validation engineers.
• Provide feedback on product design and operational features in order to ensure it delivers value and is compliant
• Ensure technical defects are addressed by the development team
• Assess pros and cons of upcoming product releases and handles any preventive actions to ensure successful product deployment
• Manage the product roadmap with input from key stakeholders and customers
• Develop deep domain knowledge in the assigned areas to be able to anticipate and understand business needs
• Partner with Business Analysts, Subject Matter Experts from the Business, and counterparts from IT to complete system requirements, technical specifications and process documentation for assigned projects
• Review, analyze, and evaluate the scope of the business problems presented and help identify viable technical solutions that deliver business value
• Manage and coordinate with vendors to define clear deliverables, maintain SLAs, and unblock obstacles as well as ongoing incident management of the overall vendor relationship
• Ensure legal, risk, compliance, brand, and accessibility are engrained into the product DNA and get ahead of any non-negotiable deliverables
• Provide Incident response as needed for Custom Applications. Responsible to improve Incident Response with IT Operations and Business as needed to propose & implement fixes for repeated problems.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, participate in 24/7 on-call rotation
• Regularly maintain Service Now CMDB and Knowledge Base as needed
• Triage production incidents, help identify problems and partner with business and technology teams to ensure timely resolution and minimize impact to users and the business
• Monitor batch jobs, application logs and monitoring tools to proactively prevent application failures
• Ensure legal, risk, compliance, brand, and accessibility are engrained into the product DNA and get ahead of any non-negotiable deliverables
• Participate in critical major incident resolution and treat such events a top priority
• Perform software upgrades and other Technology Lifecycle Management activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or MIS related area
• 3+ years of development experience
• 3+ Experience with designing and developing databases using MS SQL Server, preferred.
• 3+ years experience in writing queries / stored procedures, preferred.
• 3+ years of technical support experience using web and windows applications, preferred.
• Must demonstrate strong sense of urgency regarding solving critical business application issues
• 5+ years’ experience providing direct support to IT business application and related infrastructure teams in a complex multi-platform operating environment preferred
• 5+ years of experience with business application or infrastructure support on windows, web applications and platforms hosted on-prem and on cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge in Major Incident Management, ITIL Service Management, Incident and Problem Management concepts required
• Ability to understand and clearly communicate the production issues to the management by way of presentations.
• Embody an Agile mindset, and possess strong servant leadership skills
• Ability to analyze business needs and create the vision, roadmap, and ensure incremental value delivery with working software
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, synthesize issues and solutions/decisions to drive decisions.
• Strong problem solving, pattern recognition and, critical thinking skills necessary
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, participate in 24 hour on-call rotation
• Aptitude to automate manual processes and validations with scripting languages
• Ability to understand and clearly communicate the production issues to the management by way of presentations.
• Be able to track and document information regarding troubleshooting techniques
• Specialize in problem identification and proposal of alternative solutions
• Adept at working on multiple issues simultaneously
• Openness to collaborate, share knowledge and provide technical direction to team members cross functionally
• Ability to understand and troubleshoot complex architectures combining cloud and in-house elements.
• Agile and quick-thinking in a dynamic, changeable environment.
• Comfortable troubleshooting in undocumented areas of relative ambiguity.
• Experience with TFS / Azure DevOps (fka VSTS) in utilizing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
• Banking or Financial Services Industry Experience Preferred
• Detailed-oriented with a proven history as a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability to make good judgements, decisions, negotiate and problem solve
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Outstanding organizational and effective time management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
