Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a talented Software Developer Staff to lead CI/CD pipeline builds and integration and test efforts for the teams executing the enterprise’s Digital Twin initiative. This individual will coordinate the development, documentation, delivery, and maintenance of certain data services and shared services within the Digital Twin portfolio. The qualified candidate will work across the Digital Twin portfolio to scale and implement best practices as the enterprise moves capabilities from development to production. The demand for Digital Twin capabilities is growing exponentially, and this position is at the heart of critical development efforts associated with this disruptive technology.

The Data and Shared Services Software Developer will:
– Maintain Gitlab CI/CD Pipeline builds to automate software builds and deployments
– Automate Integration Tests in the Gitlab CI/CD pipeline
– Manage Java Maven and React projects
– Help maintain Gitlab repositories with established Gitflow process by creating release branches for team and tagging released versions to the main branch
– Manage Kubernetes/OpenShift deployments with Helm charts and ArgoCD declarative GitOps deployments
– Maintain OpenShift environment uptime by setting up downtime alerts and restarting services as needed
– Troubleshoot and resolve various Kubernetes issues related to Pod performance and networking
– Understand NGINX configurations and the API Gateway design pattern with some knowledge of load-balancing strategies
Basic Qualifications:
– Full lifecycle software development experience
– Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes
– Experience writing, deploying, and maintaining APIs for application integration
– Experience managing and developing infrastructure environments (compute, storage, network, and database) with traditional or cloud-based tools
– Experience with data architectures, system architectures, software pipelines, and cyber security
– Previous experience operating in an Agile environment
Desired Skills:
– Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or business/finance
– Experience with container development and orchestration with Kubernetes or a K8s distribution such as Red Hat OpenShift or Rancher
– Experience with managing compute environments, such as VMware, Hyper-V, Red Hat Virtualization (RHV), OpenStack, etc.
– Experience with managing/developing cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
– Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $105,000 - $201,100. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $120,700 - $227,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
