Staff Assistant / Administrative Support
POWER Engineers is seeking a Staff Assistant /Administrative Support (SA) for the SCADA and Analytical Services (SAS) Engineering Department in our Fort Worth, Overland Park, or Saint Louis office.
Roles and Responsibilities
Provides direct or indirect assistance to engineers, administrative staff, and other departmental personnel, as well as general office support for the SAS and Transmission Line departments
Types transmittal letters, document control lists, meeting minutes, specifications, reports, etc.
Scan and copy documents for retention purposes. Responsible for organizing scanned documents on various local and network storage devices
Provides document control using our Document Management System
Follows internal records procedures as well as client-requested procedures
Acts as HR liaison for new hire orientations
Operates office equipment such as printers, scanners, and copy machines. Maintains equipment by troubleshooting failures; calling for repairs; monitoring equipment operation
Performs office reception tasks; greets visitors, answers phones, updates contact lists, ships packages, reserves conference rooms, orders catering, etc.
Updates company and office calendars
Enters travel requests, expense reports and purchase requisitions
Perform light cleaning duties as required
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion
Provides backup support for Substation Group
Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Education/Experience
One (1) + year applicable experience or relevant degree
High School diploma or equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Desired Education/Experience
Three (3) + years of relevant experience in engineering support
Able to multi-task, prioritize, and organize
Excellent time management skills
Able to work independently and as a team player
Self-starter, reliable, and hardworking
Able to take direction from multiple people
Able to learn new tasks and software
Accuracy and attention to detail

Salary DOE: The pay range for this position is $37K - $78K per year; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.
