Job description

This position will report to a Controller and will be involved in a variety of accounting functions including payroll processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end closing processes, and preparation of financial statements. The accounting team manages the accounting for multiple entities across multiple states.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll and ensure appropriate deductions and reimbursements are made
• Assist in processing payroll tax filings and garnishments
• Process and code bills daily
• Scan/File supporting documents into the system
• Process, code, and reconcile credit card transactions
• Perform weekly AP check run
• Maintain vendor files
• Assist in general ledger maintenance
• Assist in monthly and year-end closing and preparation of financial statements
• Assist in job costing and financial statement analysis
• Perform various other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience
• Experience in processing payroll and accounts payable
• Experience with QuickBooks software is a plus
• Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel is a plus
• High level of attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
