Job Summary

The Social Media Specialist provides the voice for Liberty Savings Bank brands across social channels. They are responsible for creating original text, image, and video content, managing posts, and responding to followers. They manage our company image on social media in a cohesive way for each brand to achieve marketing and business goals.

Essential Functions

Social Media Strategy, Management and Execution

  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
  • Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals and report on ROI
  • Build brand awareness
  • Customer engagement/retention
  • New customer acquisition
  • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, images, videos and news)
  • Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Collaborate with other teams, like marketing, sales, and customer service to ensure brand consistency
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews
  • Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout)
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions

Marketing support for events

  • Create marketing emails, social posts, flyers, buck slips, etc. to support Liberty Savings Bank brand events
  • Create Kahoot Q/A’s and selected support for company meetings

Content Development

  • Strategy, execution, and posting
  • Writing
  • Video

Swag

  • Item management
  • Vendor management

Other duties as assigned by VP Marketing

Secondary Functions

  • Monitor marketing and competitive trends, learn from them, and respond as needed
  • Provides input on product features and benefits based on segment preferences
  • Keeps abreast of social media trends, and techniques

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications
  • 3-7+ years of relevant experience required
