Job Summary
The
Senior Administrative Assistant I provides advanced secretarial support to administrative personnel with minimal supervision and direction. Uses independent judgment to coordinate the details of the office to which assigned. May direct the work of clerical or student employees.

Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in a related area, including business courses
- Three (3) years experience as a secretary or related.
- General clerical skills including accuracy in basic math, filing, proofreading, typing, spelling and data entry.
- Ability to understand and operate appropriate office equipment, including personal computers and working knowledge of department-specific software.
- Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good communication skills with an ability to relate to staff, students, and members of the community.
- Must possess ability to analyze and prioritize supervisor’s schedule.

- Writing Skills: Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
