Job Summary: A Radiographer operates radiographic equipment and cares for patient needs while they are in the Radiology Department of CarolinaEast Internal Medicine.

Minimum Requirements: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Science. Registered or registry eligible by the AART. Maintain current AHA BLS certification. The Radiographer must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide care needed as described in the department’s Standard Operating Procedure Manual.
