Title: Quality Tech 1

Department: Quality

Reports to: Quality Supervisor

Summary: Provides support to the manufacturing department.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures company policies are followed and enforces safety regulations.
• Ensures operators run jobs correctly by reviewing operators' instructions.
• Ensures appropriate paperwork and quality samples are available for the machine operators.
• Provides paperwork, samples (pictures), and labels for the next jobs ready to run.
• Responsible for initial set up of scales and checking counts as needed.
• Report any problems encountered in the production area to Shift Foreman.
• Give breaks to machine operators as assigned by Foreman.
• Assists Quality department as needed.
• Audits completed production.
• Fill out end of shift paperwork.
• Ensure temporary employees clock in and provide introductory paperwork.
• Train machine operators on how to run and inspect parts for presses running.
• Ensure additional quality testing duties are completed.
• Maintain good working relationship with others.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED or one year machine operator experience.
• Must read, speak, and write English, and possess basic math and computer skills
• IQMS (manufacturing specific software) preferred; will train
• Self-motivated

Physical Demands:

• Involves sitting, standing and walking
• May include some climbing and repetitive motions
• Lifting up to 40 lbs.

• Manufacturing environment
• Some plastic dust and fumes
• Elevated noise

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
