Overview:
Helio Health is on a mission to treat and promote recovery from the effects of substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral healthcare issues. In order to support the mission, the Property Maintenance/Facilities Worker will work on a Part-Time basis providing property and facilities maintenance at our Helio Health's Binghamton Evaluatuon Center location.

Responsibilities:
  • Main responsibilities: snow removal, grass/trash removal.
  • Responsible for upkeep of Helio buildings and grounds.
  • Performs maintenance and general repairs necessary to provide a safe and functional environment.
  • Responds to emergency situations when requested by Supervisor of Facilities and/or Director of Facilities.
  • Communicates with Supervisor of Facilities Maintenance regarding any life/safety issues along with any situations which could pose a danger to clients/staff, or agency liability.
  • Perform basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry repairs.
  • Takes direction from Supervisor of Facilities and/or Director of Facilities and keeps him/her informed regarding progress of work.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor of Facilities Maintenance or Director of Facilities.
Qualifications:
  • Proven building maintenance experience preferably in a commercial or healthcare setting.
  • Ability to perform physical labor and to use a computer.
  • Skilled in using common power and hand tools.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather conditions and environment containing strong odors, dust and hazards.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate well verbally, in writing.
  • High School or G.E.D. required.
  • Knowledge of OSHA & SDS requirements.
  • Must have valid NYS Driver’s License and be able to drive agency vehicle.
