Property Maintenance/Facilities Worker will work on a
Part-Time basis providing property and facilities maintenance at our Helio Health's Binghamton Evaluatuon Center location.
Responsibilities:
- Main responsibilities: snow removal, grass/trash removal.
- Responsible for upkeep of Helio buildings and grounds.
- Performs maintenance and general repairs necessary to provide a safe and functional environment.
- Responds to emergency situations when requested by Supervisor of Facilities and/or Director of Facilities.
- Communicates with Supervisor of Facilities Maintenance regarding any life/safety issues along with any situations which could pose a danger to clients/staff, or agency liability.
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry repairs.
- Takes direction from Supervisor of Facilities and/or Director of Facilities and keeps him/her informed regarding progress of work.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor of Facilities Maintenance or Director of Facilities.
- Proven building maintenance experience preferably in a commercial or healthcare setting.
- Ability to perform physical labor and to use a computer.
- Skilled in using common power and hand tools.
- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions and environment containing strong odors, dust and hazards.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate well verbally, in writing.
- High School or G.E.D. required.
- Knowledge of OSHA & SDS requirements.
- Must have valid NYS Driver’s License and be able to drive agency vehicle.
