The Project Manager is responsible for developing relationships with educational institutions offering bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in social work. S/he is responsible for working with the educational institutions to identify the best way to reach existing students who are currently pursuing their degrees in social work. S/he will work with the Director to develop policies and procedures around scholarship eligibility and application. From cultivating students through The Gateway-In Project Health Care Social Worker (HCSW) to fostering relationships with providers, the Project Manager serves as a liaison to conduct job placements and collaborates with providers to fill certain positions. The Project Manager will build awareness of the Career Lattice and get buy-in from providers. This position will focus on the Northern/Central California region (and assist SoCal region as necessary). The Project Manager will work in close collaboration with other Gateway-In Project team members and staff of LeadingAge California.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Generates awareness around The Gateway-In Project HCSW to non-hospital health care services providers; such as home health agencies, hospices, adult day health care centers, PACE providers, and others; be able to articulate all elements of the project to target audiences
2. Develops policies and procedures with the Director
3. Develops relationship with educational institutions that offer bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Social Work
4. Cultivates new and existing relationships with providers of housing, care and services to older adults and those with disabilities
5. Collects, updates, and maintains contact information on target providers in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
6. Identifies needs of workforce in target providers; collects baseline data and measurable metrics on all staff positions in workforce; fill Health Care Social Worker gaps with graduating cohorts from trainings; serve as liaison for job placements between graduates and employers (aging services providers)
7. Manages student supports: wraparound services, incentives, internships, job placements
8. Manages students (pre-grad), and collaborates on employee (post-grad) retention for up to one year
9. Develops/evaluates and improves processes, tools and systems to enhance quality, efficiency, and outcomes related to outreach, referrals, and job placements
10. Works closely with Accounting team to processes all invoices (e.g. tuition, scholarship, wraparound services)
11. Works with target providers to adopt career lattice into practice; assists with development and implementation of agreement between target providers and employees for career lattice
12. Promotes technology to bridge the gap to employers and graduates; identifies new technology as appropriate to assure employers and graduates are connected
13. Conducts quarterly evaluations, course-corrects based on evaluation results, and promotes participation amongst providers for placement process of graduate students
14. Collaborates with and assists other Project Team members to assure project objectives are met
15. Participates as a member of and contributes to The Gateway-In Project Team to achieve team objectives
16. Supports Project Director, as requested
17. Reports at least quarterly to the Chief Education and Marketing Officer with all relevant data points and success metrics
18. Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

6. Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
7. Working knowledge of office equipment: computers, printers, copy machines
8. Proficiency in MS Office and ability to quickly learn new software applications
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- At least 3 years project management experience
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· General office working conditions
· Occasionally lifting of 20-30 lbs
· Frequent regional travel (up to 60%) requires car with valid registration, driver’s license and auto insurance
