This Multifamily Lending Manager earns $80,000 - $144,000 depending on education and experience.. ABOUT UTAH HOUSING CORPORATION
We were created as a public corporation by state legislation in 1975 to raise funds to assist in the creation of affordable housing opportunities for lower-income Utah households. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MULTIFAMILY LENDING MANAGER
As a Multifamily Lending Manager, you are a vital asset to our company. You perform complex managerial work administering the daily operations and activities of the multifamily lending program. Work involves deploying loans for affordable multifamily rental projects; providing consultative services and technical assistance to prospective borrowers, program staff, governmental agencies, community organizations, or the general public establishing goals and objectives; developing new lending programs and establishing lending policies; developing schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving established goals. You will work with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. You establish and maintain partnerships with multifamily developers, tax credit investors, and other lenders to create affordable housing throughout the state. Working with team members, you will ensure compliance and adherence to policies and procedures. You will market the multifamily loan program and develop and implement a vibrant business strategy.
Your great organizational skills serve you well as you coordinate workflows with project underwriting personnel. You effectively manage the day-to-day lending and credit operations to ensure efficiency. With attention to detail, you oversee all functions necessary to prepare full credit memos for committee review and approval. You also build a network of relationships with real estate agents, brokers, and builders.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MULTIFAMILY LENDING MANAGER
- Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years of experience in real estate, preferably in affordable housing development and finance
- 5+ years of employment in a related profession
- Strong real estate lending background
- Ability to drive long distances within the state
Knowledge of low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) financing would be a plus. Do you have good writing skills? Is your attention to detail exceptional?
