As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining patient care.
- Performs examinations
- Identifies relevant data from images accurately
- Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
- Ensures patient safety and emergency preparedness
- Documents patient information
- Ensuring proper film identification on all images.
- Accurately completes computer functions-edits, status changes, logging
- Accurate film marking and jacket preparation
- Achieves quality diagnostic images by use of proper positioning of patients and correct operation of equipment
- Performing training and education duties.
- Participates in the orientation of new employees
- Responsible for the training of students
- Participates in the training of health care professionals and new employees
- Maintaining equipment
- Correctly operates equipment
- Optimizes use of equipment
- Understands the structure visualized and its significance
Required Qualifications:
- License/Certification/Registration
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification
- Meet MRI Safety Screen Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education:
- Additional education in Imaging or Healthcare
- Experience
- 1 year of MRI Technologist experience
- License/Certification/Registration
- MRI Certification within 18 months of hire or transfer to the role
