Job Description:

Parsons is hiring developers to join the team supporting Electronic Warfare. We are conducting developing solutions to enhance US Navy communication, navigation, and sensor support to enhance the Warfighter’s ability to assess and engage emerging threats.

What You Will Be Doing With US:

  • Python software development for US Navy Systems

  • Doing meaningful work for the name of the MISSION

  • Be part of a team who loves taking a personal challenge

  • Participate in mentoring in a collaborative team environment

As part of the development team you will write software and use Agile methodologies and tools such as Bitbucket, Crucible, FishEye, Confluence, and Bamboo.

  • We maintain software revision control tools using Subversion, Git, GitHub, GitKraken and other tools for the software repository.

  • The team is transitioning existing software and developing new software to operate in Cloud Computing environments, including Google and Amazon Enterprise Cloud Services.

  • We are assisting the customer team in moving software into a DevSecOps pipeline including the packaging of software for it to be deployed, built, and installed in the sponsor’s pipeline. This includes the development of automated installation packages.

  • Google Test is being used to support unit testing and Froglogic/Squish for test automation.

What We Need from You (REQUIRED):

  • US Citizenship with current or ability to obtain/maintain Secret Clearance

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field from an accredited institution

  • 3+ year of hands-on software development experience.

  • Experience with software development experience or related education and experience with at least Python.

These Qualifications Would Be Best to Have:

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • 3-8 years software development experience using Python, Object Oriented programming

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in a STEM field

  • Experience developing with Automated Testing

  • Expertise in Linux environment

  • Experience working in Agile

  • On-site availability at NSWC Dahlgren at least 2-3 days per week

Salary Range:

$59,300.00 - $103,800.00
