Shift Time: 8:00 - 5:00
Location: Pablo Campus, Lakeland, FL

Position Summary

Summary:
This is a as needed role to work with an assigned physician to assist them in note completion. This encompasses gathering data prior to the visit, preparing the note during the visit and working one on one with the provider to make sure the note meets all requirements. In this role it is expected to type at least 40wpm to be able to translate the providers visit with the patient while the provider in interviewing and assessing the patient as well as knowledge with medical terminology.

  • Standard Work Duties: Medical Scribe
  • Taking notes during patient visits and documenting them in the electronic health records system.
  • Learning about the medical process and using a team approach in patient supervision and documentation.
  • Working with a supervising Physician or Doctor to complete and submit medical records.
  • Communicating with patients and supervising Physicians professionally.
  • Confidentiality and privacy of the patients.
  • Strong organization, multitasking and time management skills.
  • Good bedside manner and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reviews patient’s visit prior to the arrival to make sure all documents are prepared and ready for the visit.
  • Assist the physician with going to room to room and being timely.
  • Stewardship
  • Demonstrates responsible use of LRH's resources including people, finances, equipment and facilities.
  • Knows and adheres to organizational and department policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:
Essential:
  • High School or Equivalent
