Job Type: This is a full time, hourly position 40 hours a week

Hours of work: Monday-Friday days primarily on site. Some days/evenings/remote work possible

Pay range: Hourly wage starts at $19.00 plus competitive benefits package.

Position Summary: At Omaha Children’s Museum, we are looking for a talented marketer to join our team. The Marketing Coordinator will support the marketing team by coordinating with vendors, compiling data for reports, creating campaign content, including basic graphics, blog posts, and social media posts. They will frequently collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Communications.

The marketing coordinator will collaborate with multiple teams across the company, the coordinator should be able to help organize and prioritize projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

40% Coordinate Organic and Pay Per Click Media

  • Work with vendors and the Director of Marketing on paid ad campaign planning and development, assist vendors when needed
  • Co-develop and maintain a social media calendar
  • Coordinate across departments for posts and updates to be posted
  • Create content using basic design tools like Canva
  • Produce video content for Instagram reels and TikTok
  • Gather deliverables and send them to vendors
  • Make minor updates to OCM website as needed
  • Track campaign results and stay up-to-date on emerging channels

30% Coordinate Marketing Strategy

  • Support the Marketing Director in establishing and evaluating the marketing strategy and updating and maintaining the departmental calendar of projects and deadlines
  • Help research best practices and emergent trends to help develop a marketing strategy
  • Track analytics for reporting

15% Maintain inventory of print & coordinate deliverables

  • Track printed material inventory and reorder when needed
  • Coordinate with vendors for costs and deliveries. Draw up RFP and POs as necessary to track dollars spent on print
  • Maintain inventory of marketing giveaways. Consult on new products to give away
  • Schedule vendors to come into OCM for signage updates

15% Departmental Operations

  • Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize across teams on a wide range of materials that may include web pages, presentations, programming collateral, signage, internal communications, newsletters, and marketing materials.
