The Product Operations team is currently seeking toappoint a dynamic and self motivated individual to work in theEMEIA Manufacturing Engineering team in the support our Vendor basein EMEIA. This role will be responsible for the development andimplementation of key production processes in high volumeenvironments in third party facilities. This role will be based inGermany reporting through Apple's EMEIA Headquarters in Cork. - Relevant Engineering experience in aManufacturing Engineering / technical role in a high volume, hightechnology global manufacturing operation.
- Relevant Industrial Engineeringexperience specifically relating to Process Development andImprovement, Automation and Lean Manufacturing.
- Excellent analytical, data analysis andproblem solving skills.
- Proven track record in Machine Buy Offprocesses and GR&R.
- Excellent communication and documentationskills.
- Strong sense of urgency and customerfocused.
- Consistently identifies, initiates anddrives continuous improvement throughout the business.
- Should be flexible and capable of workingon own initiative with a professional attitude.
- Develop strong working relationships withApple, Vendor and Sub-Contractor engineering teams.
- Engineering management or programmanagement background is considered a plus.
- Ability to travel for significant partsof the working year. This role involves working away from home on aregular basis for most of the working year.

Candidate will use manufacturing background in the followingareas: Process Development: - Assess the suitability of a machinetechnology and process flow for a given part design. - Planvalidation exercises to demonstrate process feasibility andcapability. - Planning, proposing, and leading experiments toproduce analyses used to drive design, development, and supplychain decisions. - Reviewing progress of development activities atsupplier locations and serve as point of escalation for criticalprocess related issues. New Product Introduction: - Acts as directresponsible engineer to drive process development and capabilityassessment activities, reviewing part design documentation toensure alignment with process capability. - Assign specific tasksand work with Apple suppliers to support process development and/ordata gathering activities. Set clear goals for results and providetimely reviews of performance throughout program. - Establishvalidation procedures to determine acceptance of processes intodevelopment builds as well as mass production. Supplier Execution:- Review supplier design, process flow, equipment selection, DFM,and DOE proposals. - Identify shortfalls and corrective actions toensure design compliance. - Work with supplier engineering teams tomap out process development exercises, secure resources, and committo schedules in line with program goals. - Assess supplierreadiness to support build events and production ramp. Identifypotential execution issues and provide recommendations to mitigaterisk.
