Our Bremwood Residential Treatment Center in Waverly has a long history of serving trauma-impacted kids in Iowa. LSI is looking for a compassionate, dedicated full-time Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) Therapist to empower these children toward success.

Duties
Full time Therapist/Counselor with an emphasis in substance abuse counseling (CADC preferred) will provide mental health assessments; group, individual and family therapy; case consultation to caseworkers, youth specialists and other Bremwood personnel; and treatment and discharge planning and coordination.
You can bring hope and healing to children on campus and their families by providing therapy and counseling assessments. This role is responsible for:
- Responding to referrals through the provision of comprehensive assessment, with diagnosis that meets diagnostic criteria established in the DSM
- Developing a treatment plan to fully address a child's behavioral health care needs and create a positive change
- Manage case plan oversight and re-evaluation as necessary to support the needs of the child based on their assigned caseload
- As needed, provide clinical supervision for Residential or community-based
Behavioral Health Intervention Services workers

Qualifications
A qualified applicant will have a Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or related field. Applicants must be licensed in the state of Iowa. Acceptable levels of licensure include:
- Full or temporary LMSW, LMHC or LMFT
This position requires a valid driver's license, auto insurance, a good driving record, and the ability to pass an extensive background check, including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, the Sex Offender registry, and the criminal history check.
