Marc L Schwartz, PC is a growing law firm that handles NY No Fault & NJ PIP arbitrations on behalf of the provider. We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have some knowledge of No fault & PIP and be able to take instructions and complete daily tasks and assignments with accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Contact insurance companies, attorneys, and medical providers on behalf of the firm
  • Maintain and update the firm's calendar, including scheduling arbitrations, deadlines, and appointments
  • Prepare and send out medical record requests
  • Assist with billing and invoicing
  • Maintain and organize case files
  • Assist with legal research as needed

Requirements

  • Computer literate with basic knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Attention to detail is a must!
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and take direction
  • Must have your own computer, scanner, phone to receive inbound calls/ call backs !
  • Experience in a billing office or previous legal background is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of UCR and Fee schedules or previous experience in NY & NJ WC is a plus but not required !
