Country Kids Day Care is looking for a Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team.

The person will be responsible for providing a fun and safe learning environment for children 3 to 4 years of age to develop and reach age appropriate milestones. To be successful in this role, they should be creative, energetic, and able to encourage self-expression. Top candidates will possess a thorough understanding of early childhood development.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide a fun and safe environment for the children in their care.
• Ensure play, sleep, and restroom areas are kept clean.
• Prepare and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
• Guide children in their care through education/development programs.
• Think on their feet and respond to each child’s needs efficiently.
• Modelling appropriate behaviors, even when not on duty.
• Work closely with the Center Director to ensure that guidelines are adhered to.
• Keep a log of the day’s events for parents.
• Ensure close communication with parents throughout the day should the need arise.
• Work with other teachers in fulfilment of job duties.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CDA or degree in ECE (preferred)
• At least one year of experience working with children, preferably with 3 and 4 year-olds.
• Have a happy demeanor and love children.
• Be clean, neat, and a good role model for impressionable children.
• Have demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
