Barilla Deutschland GmbH wants to recruit a Key Account Manager (f_m_d) within the German Sales department. The individual will be based in Cologne and will report to the Customer Team Lead (CTL). The individual is responsible for all key account management tasks for the defined customers in alignment with the CTL.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Proactive management of Key Accounts in close collaboration with the Customer Team Lead
  • Responsible for the customer budget including tracking of aim achievements
  • Support concerning preparation of budget and customer strategy
  • Realization of customer-specific strategies by implementation of potential analyses, development of customer-oriented conceptions as well as deriving measures (objective, planning, implementation and control)
  • Preparation and participation in yearly and quarterly reviews
  • Planning, implementation and monitoring of listings, distributions and activities concerning sales volumes, promotion prices, insertions and placements
  • Collaboration with sales representatives and sales administration in case of campaign arrangements, special passages and listings
  • Ongoing observation of the market and competitive situation

Your Profile:

  • Completed university degree (e.g. Business Administration or comparable)
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ work experience in Key Account managment in a modern FMCG setting
  • Other work experience in areas like field sales, consumer marketing or trade marketing is of advantage
  • Excellent German and English communication skills
  • Very good MS-Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • You are a sales talent with confidence and great ownership
  • Analytical skills and the ability to learn fast in a dynamic environment
  • High level of autonomy, proactivity and engagement as well as being a team player
