IT Controls Engineer-World Class Automotive



Our World Class Automotive Supplier located in Battle Creek, Mi has an immediate need for an Controls Engineer for the IT Department. This is a Direct Hire position with wages that range from $85k to $100k bases on experience.
Experience with Seimans Controls is a Plus!



Our client is located in Battle Creek, Michigan. They are a Manufacturing and assembly facility that manufactures automotive body components for GM, Ford, FCA, Honda, and other aftermarket customers. We operate a 300, 000-square-foot facility with approximately 500 employees. Summary of Responsibilities
Designs, develops, tests, and modifies software and systems. Analyzes users needs and develops software solutions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the position s essential functions.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop and assist with the digitization and automation of production and other operational activities.
  • Integrate, develop, and maintain industrial automation and information systems utilizing the Ignition Software Industrial communications platform
  • Develop and assist with connecting machines with multiple software platforms and departments within the production environment.
  • Provide data and business intelligence through the collection, analysis, and reporting of machine data and other plant information systems.
  • Lead efforts to implement Industry 4.0 technologies such as system integration, the internet of things, machine sensor technologies, big data collection, and advanced analytics.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
  • Computer Science/Engineering 4-year degree or comparable experience
  • Minimum 4 years of computer experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Microsoft Windows XP/7/10, Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019, Active Directory and Group Policy management
  • Strong networking experience/background including routers, switches, VLAN management, WiFi, etc.
  • CMS or ERP experience a plus
