Intercoastal Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a detailed oriented professional individual for a full-time Insurance Authorization Specialist position located in Lakewood Ranch. Additional full-time positions are available in Sarasota. General office hours are Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm. For additional information about Intercoastal, please visit www.intercoastalmedical.com.

Responsibilities may include (but not limited to): verify patients' insurance coverage and benefits; obtain pre-authorization for ordered tests, medications and/or office visits prior to time of service; notify the ordering provider of denied services; notify the patient of any money due at time of service; and assist with medical record requests for pending authorizations.

Requirements:

* High School Diploma or Equivalent

* Strong Computer Skills

* Basic HIPAA Knowledge

* Previous Medical Office Experience a plus

* Previous Authorization Experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
