Middle School Humanities Teacher

Oakland Unity Middle School is now seeking a qualified Humanities teacher to join our team for 23-24 School Year.

• are eager to innovate, try new things, and reimagine what a classroom can look like for the 21st Century.

Qualifications: Valid California teaching credential in English or Social Studies (or commitment to enter credentialing program with Intern Credential summer 2023)

Proficiency in technology is a must as we use the Summit Learning Platform.

Compensation:

• Salary: $50-$70,000 Benefits: 100% Health, Vision, and Dental for Self and Dependents (see below for more info on benefits).
  
• Opportunities to earn additional compensation for leadership roles and responsibilities as assigned by the principal.

Benefits: Reimbursement for up to $2,000 moving/travel expenses + full health benefits (medical, dental and vision) for the employee and qualifying dependents + retirement system through the California State Teachers Retirement System (CALSTRS) if credentialed + the option of 403B enrollment + 3% matched 457(b) retirement saving contribution after three years of employment.
