Bardstown Motor Lodge is hiring for a Houseperson/Property Maintenance

We are seeking a motivated Houseperson to assist housekeepers with the daily functions of Bardstown Motor Lodge. The Ideal candidate possesses a strong sense of urgency, anticipates guest and staff needs, and has an acute attention to detail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

n
• Delivering requested items to guest rooms
n
• Reports any damage or missing items and submit maintenance requests
n
• Sets up, attends, and cleans up after resident functions (food, tables, kitchen areas, etc.)
n
• Take out trash, mop, and vacuum
n
• Assist in other areas of the hotel as needed, such as collecting and delivering dirty linen to laundry, assisting with laundry or housekeeping as needed sweeping and mopping common guest areas, keeping stairwells clean, and shampooing carpets and hallways when needed
n
• Provide support to guests and the front desk
n
• Maintain cleanliness of the hotel parking lot, hotel public areas, restrooms, and meeting rooms
n
• Assist with breakfast as needed.
n
• Assist with maintenance as needed.
n
• Cleans and restocks hotel areas such as hallways, stairways, food preparation, kitchen, laundry rooms, common areas, restrooms, public or other similar areas
n
• Other duties as assigned.
n

Skills and Experience:

n
• Walking and/or going up and down stairs
n
• Walking and/or going up and down stairs
n
• Must also perform general housekeeping duties including but not limited to sweeping, moping, shoveling wheat, assisting in equipment maintenance, blowing down with an air hose, using a high-pressure water hose to wash down the blacktop driveway
n
• Opening and closing gates by pushing and pulling gate arms and chains
n
• Lift Bin lids weighing approximately 15 lbs., change directional spout and operate grain diverter (Tripper)
n
• Operate locomotive
n
• Operate pneumatic gate opener, which requires an individual to push & pull the gun on the rail while bending over to attach the opener to the gate mechanism
n
