Reporting to the CHRO, you will manage a Global Talent Acquisition team to create a world class TA function that will shape the future of Abiomed. The Global Head of Talent Acquisition has proven expertise networking, engaging and hiring top talent. S/he will teach a team how to efficiently engage and hire quality talent and manage the team to execute. This individual will design a proactive strategy in partnership with our HR business partners and functional leadership. Partner with communications and marketing to develop and implement innovative attraction & engagement strategies, build a proactive pipeline of diverse talent and enhance internal processes.

Key objectives:

  • Set the vision, strategy and goals for all aspects of global talent acquisition
  • Lead, manage, mentor, build and inspire the global Talent Acquisition team
    • Manage budget and overall spend
  • Design and execute effective recruitment processes, practices and standards that provide high quality experiences for candidates and hiring managers
  • Implement and continually improve TA tools, methodologies, policies and procedures (ATS, onboarding, interview training, EEO/AAP)
  • Implement key insight reporting to communicate recruiting statistics including cost, time and quality
  • Directly own the support and hiring of key positions, partnering with the leadership team members
  • Build strong partnerships with the business leaders and HR colleagues to message and understand trends, business needs and talent required to deliver positive business outcomes
  • Develop high impact Talent Acquisition “brand” that grows Abiomed’s status to Employer of Choice
    • Brand will include Abiomed’s Patients First! culture, technology, innovation, leadership and company strategy
    • Lead strategy for social media outlets for TA including LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook and continually improve current social profile
    • Direct, design and measure results of advertisements and promotional programs.
  • Identify and prioritize current and future talent needs, and the deployment of recruiting strategies
  • Create an environment of equal employment opportunity, diversity, and competitive advantage resulting in high-performing, diverse teams
  • Design and integrate the student programs effectively into the hiring strategy


Qualifications
:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of full-cycle Talent Acquisition experience with 5 years of managing international teams
  • Experience in medical device, pharma or healthcare
  • Proven successful experience achieving Talent Acquisition goals
  • Superb interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to convey disciplined, continuous “talent miner” focus to TA team
  • Experience using and implementing ATS systems and strong recruiting analytics knowledge
  • Both corporate and agency recruiting experience desired
