Revenue Cycle Specialists are responsible for daily follow up which includes reviewing outstanding balance and contacting insurance companies to resolve. The responsibilities of this position would include all duties of a healthcare Collection Representative.

Hybrid Schedule: 3 Days in Office, 2 Days Remote

Duties and Responsibilities

• Contact insurance carriers to inquire about unpaid/pending claims.
• Maintains A/R at acceptable aging levels by prompt follow-up to insurance companies of unpaid claims and denied claims.
• Escalating payment posting discrepancies
• Process paper correspondence as assigned.
• Review claim progress by using every available avenue, such as online tools, automated systems, and payor representatives.
• Analyze Explanation of Benefits for zero pay and/or denied charges to resolution.
• Prepare appeals to the payor specifications, i.e. dispute forms and/or any documentation for dispute.
• Analyze outstanding balances for assigned payors. Ensures that every account has been worked through resolution.
• Communicate all payer issues, denial patterns, or other payment delays to the RCM Leadership team.
• All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years of previous Medical Insurance collection
• Knowledgeable of Health Insurance denials
• Must be self-sufficient with creating all of levels of disputes(Reconsideration/Appeals
