JOB TITLE: Foundation and Corporate Relations Manager

FLSA: Exempt

REPORTS TO: VP of Development

LOCATION: Yonkers, NY

SALARY: $75,000 - $85,000


SUMMARY:

The Foundation and Corporate Relations Manager will be an integral part of Westhab’s Development and Communications team. This is a new position on a fast-moving, growing and effective team, and this person will have the opportunity to create great impact for Westhab clients by developing new partnerships and resources. The Foundation and Corporate Relations Manager will oversee the management and growth of Westhab’s institutional giving pipeline and partnerships, with support from the Grant Writer and other team members. This position offers a hybrid work schedule.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage a portfolio of current institutional funders supporting a variety of Westhab’s programs and sites throughout the Westchester and NYC region.
  • Using moves management framework, create and implement successful strategies for cultivating, soliciting and stewarding Westhab’s institutional donors and partners.
  • Build Weshab’s foundation and corporate pipeline by identifying, researching, and qualifying new opportunities for funding and partnerships.
  • Establish systems and protocols for volunteer management at Westhab; Plan and attend volunteer events with corporate partners and other donors, as necessary.
  • Build strong relationships with Westhab staff throughout the organization in order to understand and articulate funding needs; Work closely with Westhab’s Grant Writer and give timely edits and feedback on grant applications.
  • Work with Westhab’s Communications Manager to coordinate funder and volunteer recognition through marketing efforts including newsletters, blog posts, social media and other means.
  • Work closely with other members of the Development team, contribute to the organization and execution of three special events, especially the annual Golf Outing which attracts corporate sponsors.
  • Create clear and compelling materials for institutional partners and prospects including pitch decks, one-pagers, impact reports and stewardship pieces.
  • Represent Westhab at a wide variety of donor meetings and events.
  • As necessary, manage the coordination of in-kind donations from corporate and community partners.
  • Track donor data in Westhab’s database with accuracy and timeliness.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 4-5 years of experience in a related role.
  • Proven track record in crafting successful grant proposals and building productive partnerships with institutional funders.
  • Knowledge of moves management and other best practices in fundraising and volunteer management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative, with persistence and follow-through.
  • Confidence to deliver effective pitches to donors and prospects, make informed recommendations on strategy, and deliver and accept constructive feedback.
  • Deep commitment to Westhab’s mission.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of housing systems, affordable housing and/or social services is preferred but not required.
  • Management experience is preferred but not required.
