Duties: Provide technical leadership and manage the End User Computing engineering teams that architect, design, develop, implement and operate next generation cutting edge Digital Workspace platforms, cloud-based computing software platforms, security products and solutions that provide end point management as well as productivity tools for mobile workforce. Drive projects across many cross functional teams and have impact on large number of products and people. Foster best practices in project management, software development and product lifecycle management and define new processes to ensure that performance remains fundamental as VMware expands to new markets and technologies. Participate in many innovative R&D projects, with the authority and scope to apply expertise in a technically driven environment. Have a customer focus to ensure high quality solutions are delivered which meet the expectations of our customers and be able to work with other customer facing teams to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Set performance goals in close collaboration with performance, development and product management. Influence, coordinate and communicate across teams to ensure execution is aligned with priorities. Work with teams across multiple sites and geographies as a collaborator and partner.

Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical/quantitative field and three (3) years of experience in job offered or related position. In the alternative, employer will accept Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Information Technology or a related technical/quantitative field and five (5) years of experience in job offered or related position.

Employer requires at least four (4) of the following skills gained through industry experience:

  • Software development using languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Swift;
  • Testing and deployment tools and CI/CD;
  • Distributed systems and large systems architecture and performance;
  • Running SCRUM or other Agile practices;
  • Delivering SaaS solutions and Cloud based services.
