Responsibilities:
We are seeking an Electrical/Systems Engineer to provide support to our Machinery Controls Programs for the US Navy.
The Machinery Controls (MCS) System Engineer position will provide lifecycle engineering for fielded Machinery Control Systems on U.S. Navy ships. This includes engineering at the Land Based Test Facility as well as shipboard support. The are several different MCS variants spanning various technologies across the U.S. Navy's fleet. The candidate's primary duties and responsibilities include:
Lifecycle support of the supervisory machinery control system which includes, but is not limited to:
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related degree
Essential Skills:
Knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures associated with electrical or computer engineering in relation to control systems
Additional Preferred Skills:
Experience with Versa Module Eurocard (VME) systems
Special Requirements:
Successful applicants must either have an active government DoD Secret security clearance or the ability to receive approval upon position acceptance
This position may require the candidate to travel at least 10% of the time.

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.

Lifecycle support of the supervisory machinery control system which includes, but is not limited to:
Ability to lead a team through a technical project
Troubleshooting complex problems for all variants of fielded systems (microprocessor based control systems) both at Land Based Test Facility and shipboard
Review of technical documentation related to all variants of fielded systems and future fielded systems
Provide test support for all variants of fielded systems at Land Based Test Facility
Provide shipboard software & hardware installation support of all variants of fielded systems at Land Based Test Facility
Provide technical input to the design of future MCS systems
Develop test procedures to exercise requirements of fielded systems and future fielded systems
Provide design support for integration of equipment in an industrial/shipboard environment
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related degree
3 years of experience in Electrical or Computer engineering with an understanding of control systems
Essential Skills:
Knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures associated with electrical or computer engineering in relation to control systems
Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams
Proficiency in the use of test tools associated with electrical/computer engineering
Proficiency in the use of diagnostic tools associated with electrical/computer system troubleshooting
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications
Proficient in basic computer/laptop use including advanced operations
Basic knowledge of network troubleshooting tools
Basic Technical writing ability
Self-motivated able to work in a team environment
Experience leading a team through a technical project
Additional Preferred Skills:
Experience with Versa Module Eurocard (VME) systems
Experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems
Special Requirements:

Must have a valid US passport or the ability to obtain one upon position acceptance
