Director of Community Engagement & Events
Reports to: Executive Director of Cedar Lake Foundation
Location: Louisville area

What you’ll do:
Serves as point person for assigned Cedar Lake Foundation fundraising and community engagement events, providing year-round, strategic and tactical planning and execution.
- Prepare and execute comprehensive media/marketing plan including social, print and broadcast media
- Responsible for event and major gift revenue generation, including sponsorships, in-kind donations and ticket/table sales
- Lead staff for Gala Committee recruitment, stewardship and supervision.
- Lead staff for golf tournament committee
- Works with staff leadership to formulate short and long-term plans for event growth and sustainability.
- Identify and build revenue-oriented relationships within community, corporate and individual/family constituent groups including civic groups and faith communities.
- Work closely with staff and volunteers to help build and strengthen donor pipelines.
- Coordinate monthly foundation e-newsletter
- Introduce Cedar Lake to new donors/volunteers through regular corporate and community tours and campus events
- Speak at civic and other volunteer organizations
- Work with Executive Director and Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations to steward family members and donors through Caring Connections and other family programming connected to residences
What sets you apart:
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications or similar program
- Three to five years in marketing and/or non-profit event fundraising
- Organization skills, maintains composure, handles information confidentially, pleasant speaking voice and good appearance, and high ethical standards.
- Working knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Word and excel. Working knowledge and experience with social media platforms
- Must have a valid driver's license with a record acceptable to Cedar Lake Lodge's insurance carrier.
What your typical schedule looks like:
- Full-time schedule, 40 hours per week. May include occasional additional hours and weekend hours as necessary.
