Job Description
This position exists to provide administrative authority, supervision, management and leadership to DCTC’s Civil Engineering Technician Program. This position involves significant discretion and
substantial involvement in the development, interpretation and implementation of College policy.

Required Qualifications
Education Requirement:
  • Associate degree in civil engineering technology or land surveying technology, or a civil engineering degree.


Occupational Experience Requirement:
  • Four full-time (or equivalent) years of verified related paid occupational experience in civil engineering and/or land surveying field, performing duties as a technician, engineer or surveyor.

Recency Requirement:
  • One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.

Founded in 1970 Dakota County Technical College (DCTC) is a public, two-year technical college in Rosemount, Minnesota. DCTC offers about 150 programs . DCTC will allows students the possibility to go right into work force after graduation. Students who graduate from DCTC gave a 90% chance of getting a job after graduation. DCTC has over 2,000 students, and a very diverse culture. Students of color make up about 20 percent of the population. 35.2 percent of students are low income and eligible for Pell grants.
