We are looking for an experienced Dental Assistant, with the ability and willingness to work in a growing, busy practice in a brand new state-of-the-art facility. Our dental office is a 15 operatory three doctor practice with multiple hygienists working daily. We are a technologically advanced office, providing 3D printing, scanning, and milling in office using CEREC PrimeScan and PrimeMill. Applicants who are unable or unwilling to work 5 days a week need not apply. As a Dental Assistant, you should bring a willingness to assist whichever doctor you are assigned on a given day and the knowledge to be effective. You should have deep knowledge of relevant health and safety rules and a good eye for oral diseases and anomalies. Responsibilities

• Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
• Sterilize dental instruments properly
• Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
• Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
• Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
• Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
• Take X-rays or dental impressions
• Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer)
• Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
• Monitor supplies
• Adjustment of removable appliances, temporary fabrication
• Assist in all restorative, surgical, and endodontic procedures
• Maintain and clean work area and common areas on a daily basis as needed
• All other duties assigned by Doctors

Skills

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA and OSHA)
• Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
• Outstanding communication skills
• A patient and friendly personality
• Attention to detail
• Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
