Job description
PURPOSE OF JOB: To function as a conduit between Medical Staff and Medical Staff Office as it relates to Credentialing as well as a variety of other critical services assuring confidentiality of all matters relating to the operation of the Medical Staff Office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
-Receive, screen ,process and oversee completion all Medical Staff/Advanced Practice Professional's initial and reappointment applications.
-Coordination of Medical Staff office functions to insure the efficient operation of the Medical Staff Services Department .
-Support the functions of the Medical Staff by recording, transcribing and follow-up of meeting activities.
-Coordinate with Marketing Department on Website maintenance of provider profiles
-Maintain positive rapport with physicians and respond efficiently to their requests.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
-High School diploma with additional business/medical secretarial training preferred;
-CPCS certification attained within 2 years of eligibility
Experience:
-Minimum 3 years experience in physician credentialing process preferred
-Experience in Administrative Assistant office functions.
Other Skills:
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
-Familiar with Credentialing software products
-Organizational and problem solving skills
-Data entry/database management
-Transcription
