Job Title: Community Event Coordinator

Duration: 6 Months Contract

Community Event Coordinator - (Public Relations Specialist)

Work Hours - 8:30am – 5pm

Lunch Hours - 30 minutes

Dress Code - Business Casual

Location - Newark, NJ 07105

WFO/WFH - Hybrid 3 days in office

Parking - None

Job Description:

1. Knowledge, skills, education, and/or experience

1) Demonstrate ownership and sense of urgency in resolving issues in a fast-paced environment

2)Strong organizational skills with ability to effectively multi-task in order to handle multiple projects and priorities

  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment, willing to pitch-in as needed
  • Excellent communications skills, including verbal, written and platform speaking
  • Have a general working knowledge of NJ TRANSIT
  • Microsoft 365 skills
  • As the preparation and implementation of activities may take place outdoors, candidates must also be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Be energetic, demonstrate positive attitude and good listening skills
  • Position involves sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, and moving objects
  • Position may involve working outside of the traditional Monday – Friday eight-hour day
  • Must be aware of safety requirements and potential hazards in and surrounding the amenity
  • Be able to interact with all individuals in a congenial manner, be mentally alert, detail orientated, and with good reasoning skills.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 per hour
