Job description

We are a small coffee roaster operating out of NE Portland and we are looking to bring on a farmers market representative for our weekend markets. We currently operate at 4 markets per weekend and this position is for our St Johns and Hillsdale market locations. A vehicle with a moderate amount of space for carrying stuff is required for this position and coffee experience is preferred but not required.

This role is focused around brewing and selling coffee at the farmers market, and selling bags of coffee beans. The market rep picks up market equipment from our warehouse before the market and sets up the booth and all of the equipment. They then heat water up on a propane burner and begin brewing coffee via pour over method to serve to other vendors and market shoppers. Coffee knowledge is preferred because you will be selling beans to customers and discussing flavor notes and roast levels, but we can train you on these areas if needed. Once the market is done you will tear down the booth and bring equipment back to the warehouse.

This role requires you to be able to operate independently and lift heavy objects. The shift times are

Saturday @ St Johns: 7AM-3PM

Sunday @ Hillsdale: 7AM-2PM

Pay rate is $16/hr + Tips which usually range from $5-$10/hr.
