Description

The Cloud Analyst will be configuring, implementing, managing, and supporting all systems and mission-critical infrastructure such as Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), cloud backups, Active Directory, infrastructure in Microsoft Azure, M365, Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MEM), physical and virtual servers, and endpoint security.

The Cloud Analyst plays a key role in establishing and executing the IT team’s corporate strategies.

You'll accomplish these goals by:

  • Azure Virtual Desktop design - Create AVD infrastructure with high availability, security, and resiliency. Architectures should be applicable and not limited to Hybrid, AD joined, AD registered devices
  • Systems support - Develop procedures and documentation for systems and end-user support. Leads the investigation, diagnosis, and resolution of systems-related issues. Ensures that all requests for support are dealt with according to set standards and procedures
  • IT Infrastructure: Provides technical expertise to enable the correct execution of operational procedures. Provides reports and proposals for improvement to the manager.
  • Change Management: Evaluate risks to the integrity of the service environment inherent in proposed implementations (including availability, performance, security, and compliance of the business)
  • Incident Management: Leads the investigation of escalated incidents to the manager and seeks resolution. Manages proactive remediations, and recovery, following the resolution of incidents. Ensures that resolved incidents are documented properly
  • Endpoints for users: Deploy, assist, and troubleshoot laptops, and mobile devices, meeting compliance regulatory standards while using tools from MEM, Microsoft Defender, and DLP. Ensuring a high level of professional service, courtesy, security
  • standards, and systems management
  • Systems Design: Review systems designs for physical and virtual servers, Azure, and M365 to ensure efficient use of resources, high availability, and scalability. Evaluates impact analysis on major design options and assess and manage associated risks
  • Testing: Reviews planning of the system and/or acceptance tests, including new resource deployment on Azure, and security compliance for M365 and MEM. Takes responsibility for the integrity of testing and acceptance activities and contributes to the execution of these activities

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • While working along with the IT members, propose and develop high-performing, efficient, cost-effective, and operationally supportable solutions that meet the business’ complex requirements
  • Ensures operations of enterprise-level and data communications systems by minimizing systems downtime and maximizing performance
  • Implementation efforts to bring automation into the environment, including proactive remediations and workflows to minimize manual processes
  • Define requirements in support of budget plans and make recommendations for ways to improve performance and reduce costs
  • Flexibility to work out of business hours to execute and complete scheduled projects and unplanned outcomes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or applicable work experience
  • 5+ years of progressive IT engineering experience supporting mid to large-scale enterprises with hands-on experience with implementation, management, and support of Azure Virtual Desktop environment and MEM
  • Advanced experience with Windows Servers 2016/2019, Microsoft Azure, AVD, MEM, and M365
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools and best practices, including next-generation antivirus, SIEM, XDR, EDR, ASR, DLP solutions, disk encryption, Conditional Access, Identity Protection, SSO, and MFA
  • Understand conference rooms platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams
  • Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades and maintenance as required
  • Proven experience and ability to manage problem resolutions of complex or intermittent issues in a multi-vendor, integrated enterprise environment
  • Excellent communication skills; feels comfortable working with non-technical business partners
  • Skilled and comfortable with tackling complex challenges, either in leading the troubleshooting effort or advising/leading others
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Solid knowledge of industry best practices and technical systems
  • Off-hour support to team members or scheduled business projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience Administrating Microsoft 365 and Azure.
  • 3+ of experience with scripting skills with PowerShell and hands-on configuration and design knowledge of Azure ARM templates and Azure CLI
  • Microsoft Azure Cloud and M365 related technologies certifications (MD-101, SC-200, SC-300, SC-400, AZ-104, AZ-140, AZ-305, MCSA) preferred
  • Hands-on MEM, FSLogix, MSIX AppAttach, Microsoft Defender, and DLP for Windows 10/11, iOS, and Android devices
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
  • Highly professional and courteous when assisting users
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision
  • Willingness and commitment to ongoing learning and self-development

· Availability to work evenings and weekends based on scheduled projects
