Summary

Coordinates activities involved with purchasing all assigned product for the Company by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Manages assigned portfolio.

Reviews and executes purchase orders for product. Manages communication to the sales & Operations teams as required for confirmations, delays, Out of Stocks and any other relevant changes.

Reviews delivery conditions.

Maintains accurate costing of all goods.

Reviews receiving of goods for accuracy.

Communicates with suppliers and freight companies.

Maintains out-of-stock and availability information settings within Blue Ridge.

Obtains pricing and specs from suppliers.

Reviews current stock levels & initiates and manages the Transfer of product between wholesalers and or other EDI facilities.

Maintains system settings in order to keep accurate purchasing records, delivery costs, performance, inventories, and supplier specs.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Inventory software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
