Billing Clerk (Hybrid)

Position Responsibilities:

• Researches all information needed to complete billing process.
• Keys, charges entry information into on-line entry program and produces billing.
• Processes rebilling and other after the fact billing request.
• Assists with coding and error resolution.
• Maintains a high level of productivity while maintaining accuracy. Maintains a working knowledge of all physician billing guidelines.
• Faxes attachments to Athena to include with claim when appropriate
• Works assigned hold buckets daily.
• Attends all seminars and education programs as assigned by manager.
• Consistently demonstrates ability to organize work, recognize and establish priorities and complete work without creating backlogs.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate
• 1 year of experience in healthcare billing or collections
