Reporting to the Senior Manager of Strategic Insights & Analytics – the Analyst, Strategic Insights & Analytics will support advanced analytics enablement for the finance area supporting the Finance Decision Support group and Retail BU. This position will work closely with Finance and other functional groups to design and implement high-quality data-driven decisions for Nutrien Ag Solutions, the Retail Strategic Business Unit of Nutrien.

What you will do:
Design, develop and deploy analytic solutions.- Collect, analyze and interpret data to create actionable recommendations for business leaders.
- Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics that support key strategic business decisions
- Interface with a wide variety of data sources including but not limited to SQL Databases, SAP, BW, Excel, public repositories and web scraping.
- Coordinate and collaborate with the Retail Finance Decision Support group and other key stakeholder groups that are using financial data to improve results and enhance prediction accuracy
- Understand and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining and engineering as well as modeling, visualization and communication deliverables
- Collaborate with other data teams, including IT, digital, supply chain, operations and marketing
- Develop comprehensive accurate financial models for a wide range of financial analysis
- Communicate and collaborate with data partners across the organization to build data sets, confirm accuracies and share resources and best practices.
- Support the discovery phase of projects, including the data collection and analysis of multiple initiatives to drive improvements across the Retail BU by learning about Nutrien’s core businesses and practices.
- Proactively engage with stakeholders to identify opportunities to support strategic objectives
- Actively work to help continually integrate our data and information processes
- Create custom reports and presentations, concisely summarizing analysis, and conclusions tailored to specific stakeholders both vertically and horizontally across the organization.
- Build custom machine learning and predictive analytic models.
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree or professional designation/certificate related to finance, data science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or other data related fields- 3+ years of experience in analytics & database software
- Experience in finance or finance-related analytics role (preferred)
- Experience programming in SQL.
- Experience with Python or another programming language
- Knowledge of Power BI, Power Query and data visualization
- Experience using business analytics to problem solve data-driven questions
- Experience working with and creating workflows, databases and dashboards using all relevant data to make informed decisions, especially with Power BI, and SAP
- Strong communication, collaboration and presentation skills.
- Experience extracting, manipulating, and analyzing large data sets and drawing verifiable conclusions
- Experience and knowledge of statistical modeling techniques (preferred)
- Experience conducting data analyses using statistics and database management
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and follow up/follow through skills
- Ability to foster teamwork, manage personal and group workloads, meet tight deadlines and balance competing priorities.
- Experience with Excel, Word and Power Point & Power BI
- Willingness to capitalize on learning opportunities to expand your programming and analytics tool kit.
- Prior experience with Sklearn, Pandas, Tensorflow or Pytorch is a strong plus
Compensation & Benefits:
$77,600 - $106,700. This range is estimated for Analyst, Retail, Strategic Insights & Analytics in Loveland, Colorado. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our plan(s), which provide discretionary award opportunities reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
